Columbus, OH – April 29, 2014 – AMT Machine Systems, Ltd. (AMT), manufacturer of the ServoCam® line of machine tools and CNC upgrades, has announced a major business restructuring.

Advanced Machinery Solutions LLC (AMS) has been formed as an independent company to focus on sales, training, and service for Lico Machinery and for ServoCam® equipment.  In addition, AMS will perform final assembly of ServoCam® machinery.  Greg Knight is President of AMS.

“AMS serves the precision production machining market with a cost-effective selection of single-spindle, fixed headstock machinery, says Mr. Knight.  Whether your parts are simple or complex, we have the right machine for the job.”

AMT will focus on the continued development and commercialization of its intelligent-motor control system technology, and will continue producing and servicing the CyberNet™ control systems for ServoCam® machines.  As a necessary part of the restructuring process, AMT filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 25.  Dennis Pugh will continue to serve as President of AMT.

According to Mr. Pugh, “A fundamental goal of AMT’s restructuring is to ensure ongoing service and support for the installed base of ServoCam® equipment.  It’s unfortunate that a Chapter 11 process is necessary in order to achieve that goal, but it is clearly in the best interests of our customers.  We fully expect to emerge from Chapter 11 as a much stronger company.”
