    How you can break through and land a manufacturing job

    Outside Allegion’s Princeton, Illinois, plant, dozens of “Now Hiring” signs dot the landscaping.

    “First and foremost, we’re looking for a work ethic. We’re looking for someone who’s gonna come in the door and use their minds and think about ways to improve processes, improve the factory itself,” said Jason Krich, plant manager at LCN.

    Krich insists plenty of good manufacturing jobs still exist. At LCN, for example, nearly 300 workers help make door closers, with open positions ranging from CNC operator to quality engineer.
