How the IntraLoad Pallet Loader Works
Like all of Gimbel’s other lines, the IntraLoad™ leverages the machine’s existing kinematics to make the system roughly 8x more cost-effective than competing pallet automation systems.
The pallets are stored on the inside of the 5-Axis Machining Center and the pallets are moved using a special system that attaches to the machine’s Spindle Head, called the IntraLoad Actuator™.
The modular shelving system, called the IntraShelf™, is rigidly connected to the internals of the machine enclosure, and stores up to twenty-four pallets perfectly just within reach of Gimbel’s low-profile PalletHold system.
Machine Compatibility
Initially, the IntraLoad™ CNC Pallet Loading System will be compatible with the following 5-Axis CNC Machine Tools:
- Haas UMC-500
- Haas UMC-750
- DN Solutions DVF-4000
- DN Solutions DVF-5000
Workholding and Pallets
To make the system a complete package, Gimbel Automation has partnered with 5thAxis Workholding, Orange Vise, as well as Pierson Workholding. Gimbel is an official distributor for all three companies. Gimbel is offering its special pallets equipped either with the 5thAxis LiteVise system or the Orange Vise Helios vises.
After testing numerous different automated zero-point-systems, Gimbel partnered with Pierson Workholding to bring their Max-4 Pallet System.
