The CoboMover is a 7th-axis linear track designed for collaborative and lightweight industrial robots. It enables robots to operate across multiple workstations without manual repositioning by extending their reach up to 16.4 ft (5 m).

Compatible with over 60 cobots and small traditional robots, the system includes mounting positions at 0 and 180-degrees and supports a maximum payload of 172 lb (78 kg), including the robot. It uses a toothed belt drive system paired with the HPG045 angular gearbox. Stroke lengths of 39, 79, 118, 157.5, and 197 in (1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, and 5,000 mm) are available. The system provides a maximum speed of 6.6 ft/s (2 m/s) and acceleration of 6.6 ft/s² (2 m/s²), with repeatability rated at ±0.002 in (±0.05 mm).

Also announced and demoed at Automate was a modular track system featuring air bearings that allow mobility without embedded rails. Requiring just 5 psi, the system levitates a 3,800 lb track (TMF-4B) approximately 0.5 in above ground, allowing it to float into or out of position. Originally designed for aircraft painting applications, this mobility solution eliminates the need for cranes or high-capacity forklifts and addresses layout constraints in large workspaces.

    Features:

    • 7th-axis track for collaborative and small robots
    • Reach of up to 16.4 ft (5 m)
    • Payload capacity of 172 lb (78 kg)
    • Compatible with over 60 robot models
    • Mounting positions at 0° and 180°
    • Speed up to 6.6 ft/s (2 m/s)
    • Acceleration up to 6.6 ft/s² (2 m/s²)
    • Repeatability of ±0.002 in (±0.05 mm)
    • Stroke lengths from 39.4 to 196.9 in (1000 to 5000 mm)
    • Toothed belt drive with HPG045 angular gearbox
    • Air bearing demo supports 3,800 lb mobile track with 5 psi air pressure
