Vista, CA — [July 28, 2026] — RM Technologies will introduce its SkyMill CNC milling machine to the North  American market at IMTS 2026, September 14–19 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The machine will be

demonstrated live in RM Technologies’ Booth # 338492 in the South Building, where the Italian manufacturer  will exhibit alongside CENTRIC International, its exclusive importer and distributor for the United States,  Canada and Mexico. Visitors can evaluate first-hand the SkyMill’s industry-leading machining performance,  surface finish, workholding flexibility and compact footprint.

Designed and manufactured in Italy by Ronchini Massimo S.r.l. under the RM Technologies brand, the  SkyMill is a compact, enclosed CNC milling system engineered for manufacturers processing aluminum,  composites, advanced materials and technical plastics in the 80 x 42.5-inch format.

Its rigid welded-steel structure, high-speed spindle and integrated workholding systems combine productive  material removal with the accuracy and surface quality required for demanding machining applications.  Potential applications include aerospace components and tooling, composite structures, molds and  patterns, aluminum platework, technical plastics and precision-manufactured components.

    Live Demonstrations at IMTS

Throughout IMTS 2026, CENTRIC and RM Technologies specialists will conduct live machining  demonstrations highlighting:

    • Material-removal performance and surface-finish quality
    • Fast setup using configurable vacuum workholding
    • Mechanical clamping options for varied part geometries
    • Automated tool changes and tool-length measurement
    • Part probing, alignment and machining recovery functions
    • Chip extraction and lubrication during machining

Technical specialists will also be available to discuss specific materials, components, tooling requirements  and production challenges with booth visitors.

    PRESS RELEASE

    SkyMill Technical Highlights

Key capabilities of the SkyMill that will be exhibited at the show include:

    ▪ CNC Control: A Fanuc CNC Control with 27” Touch Screen Display

    ▪ High-speed machining: A 14 kW electrospindle delivering speeds up to 24,000 rpm with an HSK63F tool interface

    ▪ Automatic tool changing: 30 tool positions and integrated tool-length presetting ▪ Flexible workholding: A 2,030 × 1,080 mm milled and ground aluminum worktable with eight  selectable vacuum zones and provisions for mechanical clamping

    ▪ Integrated probing: A protected Renishaw probe for part measurement, alignment, work-offset  setting and machining recovery after repositioning

    ▪ Process and chip management: Minimal Air/Liquid (MQL) Lubrication with dual nozzle spray,  together with a height-adjustable extraction hood for efficient chip collection (external vacuum  system sold as an option)

The SkyMill is available with other configurations, options and application-specific solutions including a  Mitsubishi CNC control system, 8kW, 36,000 rpm HSK40 spindle, linear scales and more, depending upon  customer requirements.

“The North American debut of the SkyMill is an important step in the continued growth of RM Technologies,”  said Matteo Colli, CEO of Ronchini Massimo S.r.l. “The machine gives North American manufacturers a new  option for applications that require the speed and accessibility of a large-format CNC platform together with  rigidity, process control and a high-quality machined finish. Through our partnership with CENTRIC,

customers will also have access to local application support and service throughout the United States,  Canada and Mexico.”

Michael Perez, President and CEO of CENTRIC adds, “IMTS provides the ideal setting for North American  manufacturers to experience the SkyMill under actual cutting conditions. Our objective is not simply to  display the machine. We want visitors to bring us their applications, discuss their production challenges and  see what the technology can accomplish.”

Visitors can see the SkyMill operating at IMTS 2026, South Building, Booth 338492, September 14–19 at  McCormick Place in Chicago.
