Western Pennsylvania companies have the opportunity to have their employees to be trained and certified as OJT Trainers in a workshop to be held December 19 in at New Century Careers in Pittsburgh. Companies may be eligible for a reimbursement up to 50 percent of the cost of the workshop.
This is a professionally facilitated workshop in which participants will learn the competencies required for OJT Trainers. They will have an opportunity to apply the concepts in three separate hands-on demonstrations.
The workshop will cover the four competencies required for OJT Trainer including Training Methodology, Communications, Coaching, and Adult Learning Behavior. Each participant will be able to earn all three of the required sets of skill checks for the NIMS OJT Trainer Performance Demonstration Report. The participants will take the online certification exam at the close of the workshop session, resulting in a National Certification.
The NIMS workshop is a complete package and includes for each participant, the OJT Trainer Workbook, registration in the NIMS Online Testing System, and the OJT Trainer Certification Exam.
