Diagrind’s MC3 bond is a carbide-based matrix that is the hardest bonding system in the 50+
year history of the company. Keeping knives and blades sharp is a process critical to the timely
and efficient operation of roll dies, the angles of the cutting edges must be perfectly replicated,
and keeping that edge sharp and precise is a challenge. MC3 carbide bond can be precision
ground to required angles and maintains its form and cutting ability without the need for
    dressing.

“Any application requiring precision and repeatability on hardened material would benefit from
the MC3. While not free-cutting, it does an excellent job of holding form to precision edges,”
    says Diagrind president Mike Sommer.

Combined with diamond or CBN, MC3 bond creates a unique solution for carbide or hardened
    steel.

Diagrind is in the Chicagoland area, and proudly serves customers all over the world. The
company has over 50 years’ experience solving internal grinding problems and specializes in
diamond and CBN tools .025” to 3” diameter, custom made by hand to fit any application.
