MOORPARK, CA – June 3, 2013 – Gibbs and Associates, a Cimatron company, announced today  that the company will collaborate with Gardner Publications’ Modern Machine Shop to present a free webinar at 2:00 P.M. Eastern time (11:00 A.M. Pacific) on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Registration information and system requirements are on the Modern Machine Shop webinar page at: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/565014280.

In today’s competitive world of global manufacturing, it is becoming essential for manufacturers to rethink the role technology can play to increase machine throughput and efficiency. This webinar will show how the implementation of several existing and proven CAM strategies, technologies, and methodologies working together can have a significant impact on a shop’s profitability and bottom line. The concepts of High Volume Material Removal, Plunge Roughing, 3 to 5-axis Morph Roughing and Finishing, and even something as simple as selecting the right application approach can all play a significant role in improving the efficiency of any shop.

Topics to be covered in this webinar include:

    ·        What is High-Speed Machining (HSM)?

    ·        Factors contributing to optimized High-Speed Machining

    ·        Why HSM is important in today’s manufacturing environment?

    ·        What elements comprise HSM?

    ·        HSM Tools, Technologies and Methods

    ·        HSM and Cost Reduction

The webinar will include a demonstration of GibbsCAM’s HSM capabilities, including the new 5-Axis Plunge Roughing capability available in newly released GibbsCAM 2013.
