CHICAGO, Sept. 10, 2026 – Verisurf Software introduces an online 3D scanning configurator that helps manufacturers select a complete scanning solution for their applications. The configurator guides users through three clearly defined choices and then presents a recommended package with bundled pricing.
The three-step process includes:
1. Select a Verisurf software module: ANALYSIS, AUTOMATE, or REVERSE.
2. Select a Scanology scanner model: SIMSCAN-S, SIMSCAN-E, SIMSCAN 42 or SIMSCAN 30.
3. Select a training option based on the application, personnel, and workflow requirements.
The guided tool allows customers to compare scanner options, select Verisurf software and licensing, add training, and review potential package savings before requesting a quote. Try the online configurator at https://discover.verisurf.com/
Verisurf is launching the configurator ahead of IMTS 2026. Attendees can see the SIMSCAN 3D scanner demonstrated with Verisurf software in Booth 134330.
“Manufacturers want a scanning solution that fits the work they need to accomplish, without having to sort through hardware, software, and training options on their own,” said Nick Merrell, executive vice president of Verisurf. “The configurator makes that process straightforward by guiding customers to a complete, application-focused package that can help them become productive quickly.”
The configured solutions pair SIMSCAN handheld 3D scanners with Verisurf software and training to support inspection, analysis, and reverse engineering workflows. The combination enables users to capture and process 3D data, compare scanned parts with CAD models, create inspection reports, and develop CAD geometry from point clouds and meshes.
Verisurf brings these workflows together on an open CAD platform that supports virtually all major CAD file formats and measurement devices. Its portable-friendly interface, device integration, and application training are designed for individual operators and high-volume inspection departments alike.
Verisurf software modules
Customers can configure the software around the work they need to perform. Verisurf ANALYSIS compares measured points, point clouds, and meshes with CAD models to evaluate profile, position, and other dimensional requirements, visualize deviations, and create inspection reports. Verisurf AUTOMATE supports repeatable, automated inspection programming to reduce programming and cycle time. Verisurf REVERSE provides tools to convert measured points, point clouds, and meshes into usable CAD geometry for product development, tooling, and legacy-part reproduction.
SIMSCAN scanner models
The configurator includes four palm-sized SIMSCAN options. SIMSCAN-S combines high accuracy, wireless operation and the family’s fastest data capture for demanding inspection applications. The SIMSCAN-E offers intelligent, wireless scanning for greater freedom on the shop floor or in the field. The SIMSCAN 42 provides high-throughput wired scanning with a large scanning area, while the SIMSCAN 30 delivers versatile, metrology-grade performance for general inspection and reverse engineering. Across the lineup, compact construction and a short camera distance help operators capture gaps, deep holes, slots, channels, and other hard-to-reach features.
By combining the appropriate Verisurf software, SIMSCAN scanner, and training in one package, the configurator helps customers build a production-ready workflow matched to their parts, processes, and personnel.
