Sudbury, MA, U.S.A. (June 15, 2012) – On June 15, 2012, Methods Machine Tools, Inc., a leading supplier of innovative precision machine tools and automation headquartered in Sudbury, MA, hosted approximately 70 Massachusetts vocational technology students at a manufacturing event at their headquarters. Students from Westfield Vocational Technical (Westfield, MA), Assabet Valley Regional (Marlborough, MA) and Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA) schools attended.
“Across the country including Massachusetts, companies are grappling with how to retain skilled workers in the manufacturing sector as the economy rebounds and the need to handle more technology based manufacturing intensifies,” said Mr. Bryon Deysher, President & CEO, Methods Machine Tools, Inc. “We were very pleased to provide students with the opportunity to further explore careers in engineering and manufacturing.”
At this event, students were led on tours in the company’s technology center to see first-hand, state-of-the-art machine tools and automation in action. They also listened to discussions on how machining technology is applied in manufacturing today.
“We were thrilled to receive Methods’ invitation to bring our dedicated students to an event which connected them with real world manufacturing applications and opportunities, said Mr. Clement Fucci, instructor, Westfield Vocational Technical School. “To help the U.S. workforce, we need to engage and educate our students in manufacturing.
