My wife, Risa, is an educational therapist who teaches kids with learning problems in our house.
She probably has close to a thousand books in her library. One of her favorites is a short masterpiece by Laura Numeroff, If You Give a Dog a Donut.
It has never been more apt than now as we see college campuses filled with tents with kids and agitators from off-campus proclaiming their anti-Semitism and carrying signs proclaiming Israel’s apartheid. The response by administrators and faculty has been almost universally appeasement.
“If you give a dog a donut he’ll ask for apple juice to go with it. Then he’ll ask for more, there won’t be any left so he’ll want to make his own. He’ll go outside and pick apples. When he’s up the tree he’ll throw an apple and it will make him think of baseball.”
And it goes on and on until finally the dog gets tired and asks for more juice.
“And he’ll want a donut to go with it.”
It’s a beautiful book with superb illustrations by Felicia Bond.

The war in Gaza started with Hamas invading Israel and killing 1,200 people. They raped and cut off heads on October 7, of last year. They took at least 300 hostages.
Israel retaliated and now has destroyed much of Hamas, but the plan to turn the world against Israel, decades in the planning, has been a sickening success.
Universities in the United States have been infected with faculty who have bought the “Israel is apartheid” line, and students for the most part don’t have any feel for the Middle East. Sympathy for Gaza is easy. It’s where the parties are.
The Hamas supporters have used the moment to follow their well-thought-out plan to take the campuses that were unprepared. The logical way out for college presidents would be to oppose the Hamas believers and get the tents off campuses so graduation can go on.
Next year will be worse. The dog will want his donut again. And it looks like he will get it.

How our leaders can allow this to take place is very sad and be so wrong in forgetting how this all started. Amazing how they make Israel out to be the bad guys! My family and I are with Israel 100 percent! God Bless them!!
